ToolPost website gets a face lift!

We were asked to take a good long hard look at a tired and dated website selling tools to the woodcarving sector, which is mainly made up of retired hobbyists. The site needed restructuring to make it easier to surf, and find products, whilst still supplying plenty of help and advice for newcomers to the craft.

Using a carefully chosen palette of colours which appeal to the target audience, and adapting the existing brand, we came up with a harmonious balance between good looks and information. An added news section on the home page gives the website a more personal feel with the blogging element introduced. We hope this will encourage people to get in touch with our client and get involved.

Beautiful and informative graphics lead the browser around and introduce them to areas of interest. A featured items area now introduces an element of selling, right from the first page. We even created a t-shirt design and mocked up samples to encourage sales in this direction.

This website design was undertaken on behalf of a third-party developer who uses us to create beautiful looking websites. The site is still under construction and we hope you come back for a link to view the finished product soon.

WTF Watch Time Fly – new store goes live

WTF Watch Time Fly is a quick and simple business startup with entry level eCommerce, built with big plans in mind. Our client wanted to get something online with the minimum amount of fuss, while keeping costs down as much as possible. So we created a juicy, fashionable and stylish website theme, using the popular blogging platform WordPress.

We monetised the site by integrating a Paypal shopping cart and easy-to-add buttons. The site has all the flexibility that WordPress is famous for and our client can easily add and edit products and pages himself using the inbuilt CMS.

We will also be looking after the SEO for the site and to that end, we have fully optimised the site and done all the usual submissions. As part of our ongoing duties we will be blogging, article writing, looking after social network feeds and so on.

World of Mosaics website – new design revealed

After over two years of successful trading, our client, World of Mosaics, decided that they needed a brand update. They wanted to keep the essence of their brand intact and to reflect their excellent reputation for providing quality products at competitive prices.

With this in mind we simply refreshed their logo. Their website, however, needed a complete overhaul, as their product list and client base has grown phenomenally over the last year or so. After a lot of hard work, we are very proud to announce the new site has now gone live.

Crammed with new functions, the website is streamlined and restructured to promote easy shopping. We think we’ve made it even easier for people to purchase with the least amount of fuss, right from the very first page!

What we’ve added:

  • Google language tool
  • Currency tool
  • Shopping basket at a glance
  • Simplified slideshow which links directly to the product shown
  • See all the collections in a category at a glance
  • Inspiration gallery which links directly to each product shown in the slideshow
  • Best sellers to promote product right from the first page
  • Easier navigation with streamlined header navigation with more comprehensive links in the footer
  • We’ve made it easier to follow World of Mosaics with popular social media
  • Add products directly to basket from the category page
  • 5-star ratings review system
  • Cross selling function to encourage the sale of matching products and accessories

Another important aspect of the changes we’ve incorporated in this website, is that we’ve paid close attention to optimising the site for improved SEO. We’ve added more areas where relevant keyword rich text can be added to enhance both the shopper’s experience and to improve the page’s rankings. We’ve also had our team of copywriters working hard on the site improving the copy across the whole of the site.

A simply chic website design

Our client was looking for a classic, chic design for their new Simply Chic Company store. After discussing the design requirements – including look, feel, colours, likes and dislikes – we quickly discovered we were exactly on the same wavelength and cracked it with our very first design!

There are lots of functions which we’ve added to the design, such as a blog element, featured items, ratings system and comments section, whilst taking care that the overall effect is harmonious with the style of the site.

The client is over the moon with the design and can’t wait till it’s ready to go live, saying: “Debbie has done an amazing job, we are really delighted.”

New blog launched for World of Mosaics

As part of the ongoing SEO for www.WorldofMosaics.com, it was decided to freshen up and relaunch the online store’s accompanying blog. This will provide new product reviews and updates for visitors and allow them to find out more about all the products and services that World of Mosaics offer.

Incidentally, this will also give the site’s rankings a boost and raise the level of customer confidence in the store, which is invaluable for online-only stores.

The blog is currently maintained entirely by Hairy Goat Design including choice of content and article writing. But this need not always be the case as we have included the powerful CMS capabilities of WordPress, which will allow our client to maintain it himself in the future.

Included functions

  • Full CMS – this blog can be wholly maintained by our client without any knowledge of HTML
  • Product gallery slideshows
  • Customer comments and testimonials
  • Real rooms area where any photos and stories submitted by customers will be published
  • A growing number of links back to the shopping site to boost rankings

Our client is really happy with the results:

Just had a look at the new blog… absolutely love it… looks really clean. Love the green, and the script text!… comes across as being very personal and i’m sure people will take to it… well done!!
